This is just the beginning... this BLOG has been started to chronicle the efforts of my husband and myself to renovate/remodel a house from the 1850's into a modern energy efficient home. Thanks to the efforts of previous inhabitants, there is not a lot of original detail left to preserve. So, my husband and I are stripping the house down to the frame and building it back up with the latest and greatest in energy efficient materials while attempting to remain true to the original architecture of the house.
