Spring Cleaning
Thank goodness! Spring is finally here. The grass is turning green. The birds are returning to the woods. And, all of that horrible ice and snow is gone.
As the snow receded, it revealed quite a mess. Lots and lots of broken branches along with all kinds of trash that had been blown into our yard over the winter. With Tyler having to head to Preston to do some work for his Uncle, I decided to tackle the Spring cleaning of the yard.
Saturday was pretty much a washout - it really was, it rained all day! There was a small break in the afternoon when it didn't rain for a few hours. But, by that point, everything was so soaked and muddy that burning brush would be nearly impossible.

By the end of the day, I had...
- Cleared off the cement pad next to the corn crib,
- Cleaned out from around the trees next to the SE paddock,
- Burned 4-5 wagon loads of brush,
- Started my compost pile,
- Picked up demo debris that had been piling up next to the house and threw it in the dumpster,
- Moved the doors from the side of the house to their new storage spot in the corn crib,
- Started working on clearing brush from group of trees North of the house.
