I know it's hard to believe that this...

will eventually become this...

but with lots of time spent stooped over, it really does!

Tyler and I spent most of Sunday laying the floor in the master bedroom. After breakfast and a quick run to Lowe's for some nails, we worked on it from 10:00 to 11:30 before our drill bit broke and we ended up needing to run into Menard's for some more. With the new drill bit, we worked from 12:30 to 1:30 before I headed down to make lunch. Once the food had settled, we went back to work from 2:30 till 5:30. We took a short water break and worked from 6:00 till 7:30. All together, we spent about 7 hours laying 9' of flooring.

At the very beginning, Tyler insisted that we define our roles to help Lean the process of laying the flooring (all of our engineering friends are groaning at this point). I was responsible for laying out the pieces of flooring and cutting the end pieces to size. Tyler was responsible for pounding them into place and stapling them in. With only 6' left, we made it through 60% of the flooring in the master bedroom in a single day! Tyler and I are thinking that with one more day we should be able to finish up the flooring. Even though we only have 6' left, the last day will take just as long because we will need to install several rows of it by hand since we'll be working around the arch.
