With my first ride on Evan rapidly approaching, I've been stepping up my search for a Dressage saddle. Since the floods took out Saddle & Leather, the closest tack shop with a selection of Dressage saddles is either in MN or IL. So, I took my search to the Internet. To help figure out if a saddle would work for Evan, I took a tracing of his back. This consisted of molding a wire to the contour of his back just behind the withers. This showed me that he was a very WIDE boy! I was going to need an extra wide saddle to fit him.
